Jilin Carbon Valley has developed large-tow 35K carbon fiber to reduce the weight and increase the durability of offshore wind turbine blades. By optimizing the manufacturing process and reducing filament breakage, the company has moved from laboratory success to industrial scale production. This shift toward high-strength, lightweight composites helps wind turbine manufacturers build larger blades that can capture more energy. The development reduces reliance on foreign proprietary materials and lowers the cost of wind energy infrastructure in China.
