Jilin Carbon Valley has achieved large-scale production of 35K large-tow carbon fiber, reducing reliance on foreign suppliers for high-performance composites. This material is critical for manufacturing larger, lighter, and stronger offshore wind turbine blades. The production process involves optimizing precursor materials and upgrading equipment to ensure consistency across 35,000 filaments per tow. These advancements help lower the cost of wind energy infrastructure by improving the durability and efficiency of turbine components.
