China has increased its installed renewable energy capacity to 2.395 billion kilowatts, representing over 60 percent of its total power capacity. This growth is supported by large scale wind and solar bases in desert regions and the expansion of ultra high voltage transmission corridors to move power to high demand areas. Beyond domestic growth, China is exporting this infrastructure to developing nations through hydroelectric and solar projects in Laos, Syria, and Cameroon. The strategy integrates green energy with industrial hubs, such as combining computing centers with renewable power in Inner Mongolia.
