China opens three new high-end carbon fiber production lines to boost supply for renewables and aerospace

China National Building Material Group (CNBM) has started operating three world-class carbon fiber production lines at its Lianyungang base in Jiangsu Province. The lines, run by subsidiary Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber, cover general-purpose, high-strength, and high-modulus carbon fiber grades. Carbon fiber is lightweight, strong, and corrosion resistant, making it a key material for new energy equipment, aerospace components, deep-sea and deep-earth applications, sports gear, and consumer electronics.
