China leads global low-carbon investments with $43 billion in projects as US momentum slows

That is 13 of 19 funded projects globally, spanning chemicals, metals, cement, and air transport. The US has only 72 total low-carbon projects, down from 92 a year earlier, partly due to policy shifts favoring fossil fuels. Globally there are 969 industrial low-carbon projects, with China hosting 170. Sunbelt countries like India and Brazil have 318, and Europe has 211. The report, backed by the World Economic Forum and Bezos Earth Fund, warns that fossil fuel dependence creates exposure to price shocks and supply disruptions, making low-carbon investment more urgent.
