The Ningyuan Diankun is a 740 TEU electric container ship designed for short-sea and coastal transport. It utilizes ten containerized battery units and supports both high-voltage shore power and rapid battery swapping to eliminate operational emissions. This vessel is expected to cut annual carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,462 tonnes compared to traditional fuel-powered ships. It also features an onboard photovoltaic system and intelligent automation for route optimization and equipment monitoring.
