China Launches Green Energy TO Brand in Hangzhou for Low-Carbon Transition and AI Data Center Efficiency
streetinsider.comState Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company has launched the Green Energy TO brand in Hangzhou, aiming to promote green and low-carbon practices. The initiative includes an Energy Efficiency Marketplace module in the Energy and Carbon Manager app, which helps enterprises track and reduce emissions, particularly for AI computing and data centers. The brand mascot, Green Energy Rabbit, originated from the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, which was billed as the first carbon-neutral Games. State Grid has since turned the Games' low-carbon services into replicable tools for factories, industrial parks, and campuses, covering green electricity traceability and carbon footprint accounting. One early user is the China Telecom Hangzhou Intelligent Computing Center, which has seen rising power demand from AI workloads. The platform aims to help such facilities manage energy use and cut carbon emissions through digital tools.
