China, the European Union, and Brazil have launched the Open Coalition on Compliance Carbon Markets. This initiative aims to align global carbon pricing standards and share best practices for emissions trading systems (ETS) to make them more transparent and effective. The coalition focuses on improving carbon accounting, monitoring, reporting, and verification systems. It also explores the use of high integrity offsets to ensure that carbon markets drive real emissions reductions across different national jurisdictions.
