Chery to Showcase Zero Carbon Factories, Recycled Aluminium, and Long Range Hybrids at 2026 User Summit
markets.businessinsider.comChery Auto will host its 2026 International User Summit in Wuhu, China from October 18 to 24. The company plans to show off its new energy lineup, including the JAECOO 7 SHS hybrid that logged 828 miles on a single tank and charge, and the JAECOO 8 SHS-P that set a Guinness World Record for combined hybrid range at 1,660 kilometers. The more relevant climate story is in the factory data. Chery says renewable energy covers 52.77% of electricity use across its manufacturing sites and that it runs two zero carbon factories. It also claims its recycled aluminium and heat treatment free die casting process cuts carbon emissions by 80% versus primary aluminium, with the JAECOO 7 SHS using about 75% low carbon aluminium. No third party verification is included in the press release. The zero carbon factory label depends on what offsets or energy credits are counted, and the hybrid range numbers come from test track conditions. Still, the shift toward recycled inputs and on site solar is a concrete step worth tracking.
