Chery Auto 2026 User Summit: Zero-Carbon Factories, 52.77% Renewable Power, and Guinness-Record Hybrid Range
manilatimes.netChery Auto will host its 2026 International User Summit in Wuhu, China from October 18 to 24, with a focus on AI, intelligent vehicles, and new energy. The company plans to showcase progress on its zero-carbon factory program and full-stack green manufacturing, including a renewable electricity share of 52.77% across its vehicle plants and seven certified green or zero-carbon facilities. The summit also highlights Chery's hybrid and electric lineup. The JAECOO 7 SHS covered 828 miles on one tank and one charge at UTAC Millbrook, while the JAECOO 8 SHS-P set a Guinness World Records title for a 1,660 km combined hybrid range. Chery says its die-casting and recycled aluminium process can cut carbon emissions by 80% versus primary aluminium, with low-carbon aluminium making up about 75% of the JAECOO 7 SHS. For buyers and industry watchers, the event is a chance to see whether Chery can scale these technologies beyond China. The main question is how much of the zero-carbon factory work and recycled material use will carry over to overseas production and whether the range claims translate to real-world driving.
