Cedars Digital Gets ISO 42001 Certification for AI Governance in Carbon Management Platform

Singapore based Cedars Digital has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System. The standard is the first international benchmark for AI governance. The company worked with Deloitte and SGS to build the framework. Cedars Digital runs CarbonM2 (CM2), a platform that handles corporate carbon accounting, product carbon footprints, and supply chain carbon data. It supports major international standards and uses AI to turn carbon data into actionable business intelligence. The certification aims to build trust in how AI is used for sustainability work. The company says the certification signals a shift from simply adopting AI to governing it responsibly. As regulations like the EU AI Act and NIST framework evolve, having a certified governance system could become a competitive edge for firms in carbon markets and climate finance.
