CDB Joins PCAF to Measure Financed Emissions and Support Sri Lanka's Low-Carbon Transition
themorning.lkCitizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) has joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), a global network of over 700 financial institutions. By adopting the PCAF Standard, CDB will measure and disclose greenhouse gas emissions from its lending and investment portfolios. This helps CDB align with reporting standards like SLFRS S2 and set credible climate targets. CDB's sustainability strategy focuses on net zero and social consciousness. The move allows the Sri Lankan non-bank financial institution to better understand the climate impact of its financing decisions and support the country's shift to a low-carbon economy. Deputy CEO Damith Tennakoon said the partnership enhances transparency and enables more informed financing choices.
