CCILaval launches Laval Net Zero 2040 campaign to help businesses cut carbon and save costs
lavalnews.caThe Laval Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILaval) has launched Laval Net Zero 2040, a two-year program to help 50 local businesses identify and implement measurable environmental projects. The initiative covers waste reduction, energy efficiency, electrification, eco-design, and greenhouse gas management. With an $850,000 budget including contributions from Hydro-Quebec and the City of Laval, the program aims to deliver 60 to 75 concrete projects and 1,800 to 2,000 hours of direct support. Participating companies will follow a four-step process: diagnosis, objective selection, implementation, and results measurement. The campaign also includes public recognition through building signage, media presence, and an annual event. The goal is to make the sustainable transition accessible and profitable for businesses, bridging the gap between intention and action. The program runs from 2026 to 2027.
