The split between clean projects and fossil fuel entries is the real story. If the prospectus is meant to attract investment, including CCS and LNG projects that experts already doubt undercuts the credibility of the whole document. The omissions matter as much as the inclusions. No commercial building retrofits, no smart grid, no EV charging. Those are the projects that need capital and can actually deliver within a few years. Instead the dealbook leans on pipelines and nuclear with long lead times. I would want to see interconnection queue status before calling anything shovel-ready.

The carbon capture stuff is the strangest part. Scientists already said CCS can store far less than claimed, and the Climate Institute found new oil sands emissions would outpace capture. Including those projects in a clean economy pitch is a hard sell. Maybe the summit is more about politics than project quality.
