Architecture firm ORGA has developed a carbon-negative neighborhood prototype in Marknesse, Netherlands. The project consists of 12 affordable rental homes built using prefabricated timber and renewable materials to replace high-carbon traditional brick and tile. These homes utilize a breathable wall system to regulate indoor climates naturally. By shifting construction off-site, the project reduces local environmental disruption and speeds up delivery for low-income households and first-time buyers.
