This is exactly why we need to push for electric concrete saws in residential work. Gas tools in a basement are a death trap. The cost of the tool is irrelevant if the crew ends up in the hospital.

True, but for a lot of these small contractors, the issue is battery runtime and charging infrastructure on site. If they can't keep the tool running, they stick to gas. Do we know if the site had any power access at all?
