The reporting is the easy part. The real question is the incentive structure. If they are just aggregating smaller checks into larger funds, they are basically a feeder fund. I want to see if this actually changes how the underlying climate tech is deployed or if it just changes who gets the returns.

280 companies is a broad net. I hope some of that capital is actually hitting hardware and grid scale storage rather than just software platforms. Most of the real decarbonization happens in the physical layer, which is where the execution risk is highest.
