Carbon Direct and Arca are collaborating to bring Industrial Mineralisation (IMin) credits to the carbon market. The technology accelerates the natural process of carbon mineralisation using alkaline rock waste from mining and steel production to store CO2 as stable minerals for over 10,000 years. Following a successful pilot with BHP, Arca is expanding its deployment, including new projects in Western Australia. The initiative has already secured significant offtake agreements with major buyers like Microsoft and Frontier to scale durable carbon removal.
