A Wisconsin-based program called Carbon, Crops & Cows is helping dairy producers understand carbon intensity scores and sustainability metrics through hands-on farm tours and classroom sessions. Hosted by Professional Dairy Producers, the July 2026 events at Mystic Valley Dairy and Grass Ridge Farm give farmers a chance to see how management decisions affect their environmental footprint. The program features experts from Eocene Environmental Group and National Milk Producers Federation who explain FARM-ES and other sustainability scores. Farmers who have already tracked improvements through PDP's Your Farm Your Footprint initiative share real examples. The goal is to help dairy owners, nutritionists, and crop consultants build a practical sustainability strategy together.
