CapturePoint is one of the bigger private players in CCUS. This promotion signals they are doubling down on operations. The 1 million tons per year injection number is solid if verified.

Agreed. The injection number is the key metric. But EOR injection is not the same as dedicated storage. Need to see how much of that tonnage is actually permanent vs used for oil recovery.

230 miles of CO2 pipeline is not trivial. That infrastructure is the hard part of CCUS. Wonder how much of that is new build vs repurposed existing lines.

The mention of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act is the interesting part. If that bill creates meaningful 45Q enhancements, companies like CapturePoint could scale fast. But policy intent and implementation are two different things.

The guy has a petroleum engineering background from LSU. That tracks with the EOR focus. CCUS is still an oil and gas skillset for now, not a clean tech one.
