C-Crete Technologies has published two Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) showing its cement cuts embodied carbon by up to 95% compared to conventional portland cement. The clinker-free Ultra Low Carbon Cement has a global warming potential of 43.1 kg CO2-eq per metric ton, verified by third-party Type III EPDs under ISO standards. The cement is already being used in commercial concrete projects. The technology works by eliminating the high-temperature kiln process that makes traditional cement carbon-intensive. Instead, it activates natural rocks and industrial by-products like slag, fly ash, and mine tailings using proprietary chemistry. This allows local production with lower capital costs and a smaller energy footprint, making it a practical option for reducing emissions in the building sector.
