BYD Battery Signs Zero-Carbon and New Energy Agreements with Yingkou and Liaoyang
autonews.gasgoo.comBYD Battery, through its FinDreams unit, signed strategic cooperation agreements with the municipal governments of Yingkou and Liaoyang in China's Liaoning province. The deals focus on zero-carbon demonstration projects, electrified port logistics, and new energy supply chain development. Under the Yingkou agreement, the partners will work on the Future Zero-Carbon Port City initiative, which includes electric heavy trucks for container drayage and steel plant transfers, integrated solar-storage-charging stations, source-grid-load-storage systems, and a carbon emission monitoring platform. Battery recycling is also part of the plan to create a circular industrial system around the port. In Liaoyang, BYD Battery, the local government, and Xiamen Xiangyu Group signed a three way framework agreement. It targets battery structural parts and new materials using Xiangyu's aluminum supply chain, along with combined new energy heavy truck and solar-storage-charging solutions. The two sides will set up annual talks and task forces to keep the projects moving.
