Lighter bikes usually mean more people actually carry them onto the train instead of locking them outside. Cutting 2 kg is a decent jump for a commuter.
Titanium and carbon are great for weight, but I wonder how the maintenance costs look over five years compared to the steel C Line. Those parts are pricier to replace if you hit a curb.
