Bradford Council has approved a 5.6-megawatt data center designed to capture and reuse up to 95% of its generated heat. The facility will integrate with the Bradford Heating Network, pumping waste heat into an energy center to warm local buildings, including City Hall and the University of Bradford. This project aims to reduce city carbon emissions by 4,500 tonnes annually. To further lower environmental impact, the site will eliminate water usage for cooling and restrict backup generators to hydrotreated vegetable oil.
