Bracell, a Brazilian pulp producer, says it cut carbon emissions intensity by 47% per ton of pulp between 2020 and 2025, reaching 0.257 tCO2e per ton. The company's 2030 target is a 75% reduction per ton, backed by a new cooking line at its Camaçari unit that started in October 2025 and by roughly 90% renewable energy use at the site. It also runs annual GHG inventories across pulp, forestry, and logistics. The company reports continuous air quality monitoring for NOx, SOx, particulates, and reduced sulfur compounds, with results below legal limits. On the removal side, Bracell says it took about 6 million tCO2e out of the atmosphere from 2020 to 2025, including 3.4 million tCO2e in 2025 from planted and native forests. It also says it has supported conservation of around 301,000 hectares of native vegetation, reaching its One for One commitment target early.
