BP and Bayer have formed a long term alliance to produce sustainable fuel feedstocks using camelina, an oilseed crop. This partnership aims to supply inputs for biodiesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) without competing with food crops. By linking refining capabilities with seed technology and farmer networks, BP seeks to secure its supply chain for low carbon fuels. The move is part of a broader strategy to shift capital allocation toward decarbonization projects.
