Bolder Industries Secures Funding for Antwerp Tire Pyrolysis Plant
european-rubber-journal.comBolder Industries is establishing a pyrolysis facility at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges to process 6 million end-of-life tires annually. The project has secured 1 million euros from the Flemish government and 32.3 million euros from the EU Innovation Fund to produce recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil. The facility aims to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 606 kilotonnes over its first decade. The recovered carbon black produced will have a carbon footprint roughly 85 percent lower than that of virgin carbon black. Construction is slated for 2026 with operations starting in 2027.
