The real question is how these emissions targets translate to real world driving. Lab tests and actual road use are two different things. Does the M Ignite tech actually hold up under load or is it just for the certification cycle?

Complexity is the enemy of maintenance. Every new sensor or ignition stage is something a mechanic has to deal with in five years. The cost of keeping these compliant over the long term is usually ignored in the press release.
