Interesting. 32,500 tonnes per year is not huge in absolute terms but for a biogas plant it's a decent start. The key detail is the full value chain from capture to shipping to permanent storage. That's where most projects fall apart.

Good point. The NECCS funding from the Danish Energy Agency is probably what makes this viable. Without public money the economics of capturing CO2 from biogas are still rough. Wonder what the cost per tonne is.

Five plants total. That's the real story here. Scaling from one to five means they have to prove the capture tech works at each site and that the logistics chain for shipping liquefied CO2 holds up. Not trivial.

Agreed. The Greensand storage site is already operational so that part is de-risked. But each biogas plant has different feedstock and output. Replicating the capture setup across five sites will hit some surprises.
