An 81 km electric range is fine for city driving, but the real question is the charging infrastructure for these luxury hybrids in markets like Vietnam. Are they relying on home chargers or is there a fast charging network that can actually handle this capacity?
Infrastructure is one thing, but the incentive structure usually drives this. Most luxury brands are pushing hybrids now to avoid steep emissions penalties in the EU and other regions. It is less about the grid and more about the regulatory cost of keeping the W12.
