Base Carbon Receives Fifth Issuance of 387,015 Carbon Credits from Rwanda Cookstoves Project
globenewswire.comBase Carbon has received its fifth issuance of carbon credits from the Rwanda cookstoves project. Verra issued 387,015 credits under the VM0050 methodology, covering a seven month monitoring period. This brings the total CORSIA eligible credits from the project to 2,346,827 since inception. The credits are expected to be included in Rwanda's 2026 Biennial Transparency Report. That would allow them to be tagged CORSIA eligible without requiring insurance, which reduces costs and increases net proceeds. Base Carbon says the project should generate about 2.2 million more credits on six month intervals for the rest of the crediting period.
