Bangladesh is positioning itself to leverage the global carbon market through afforestation, mangrove restoration, and clean energy projects. By utilizing Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, the country aims to convert verified emission reductions into tradeable credits to fund climate resilience. Key initiatives include solar home systems, biochar production, and agroforestry. To scale these efforts, Bangladesh is focusing on developing robust Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems to ensure credit integrity and attract international climate finance.
