The marketing calls it captured carbon from the atmosphere, but the technical detail says recovered carbon black from industrial waste. Those are two very different carbon accounting streams.

Exactly. One is DAC or similar, the other is just recycling waste. I would want to see the actual tonnage of carbon diverted for a run of 100 watches to see if the impact is real or just a story.
