Bangalore Watch Company has launched the Peninsula Carbon, a limited edition watch featuring a dial made from ReforgeCarbon. This material is developed with Carbon Craft and combines forged carbon fiber with recovered carbon black (rCB). The recovered carbon black is produced through the pyrolysis of end-of-life industrial byproducts. By repurposing these materials, the company prevents them from being burned and released as pollutants, turning industrial waste into a high-end consumer product.

Cool look, but I am curious about the energy intensity of the pyrolysis process used by Carbon Craft. If the energy to recover the carbon comes from a coal heavy grid, the net benefit is lower. Do they have data on the lifecycle emissions?
