This composite material uses recovered carbon black (rCB) obtained through the pyrolysis of industrial waste, preventing pollutants from entering the atmosphere. Developed with Carbon Craft, the material combines forged carbon fiber with recycled industrial byproducts. The design includes a minute track styled after an air quality index (AQI) scale to highlight the environmental footprint of urban areas.

Pyrolysis is energy intensive. Unless the heat for the recovery process comes from renewables or the waste itself, the net carbon benefit might be lower than it looks on a marketing page. Do we know the energy source for Carbon Craft?
