Bangalore Watch Company launches Peninsula Carbon watch made from captured carbon and industrial waste

The dial uses a proprietary material called ReforgeCarbon, which combines forged carbon composite with recovered carbon black sourced from industrial waste and atmospheric pollutants. The company worked with material science firm CarbonCraft to develop the material. The watch is a first of its kind from an Indian brand and is meant to highlight the carbon footprint of cities. The minute track is replaced by an Air Quality Index display that runs from green at 50 to deep red at 500. The case is surgical grade stainless steel with sapphire crystal and 200 meters of water resistance. It uses a Swiss automatic movement assembled in Bangalore.
