Bangalore Watch Company has introduced the Peninsula Carbon, a limited edition mechanical watch with dials made from captured carbon and recovered carbon black. The material, called ReforgeCarbon, combines forged carbon composite with rCB sourced from industrial waste and atmospheric pollutants. Each dial is formed under high pressure, making the watches lightweight and structurally distinct with no two pieces alike. The watch is priced at approximately GBP 2,200 and limited to 100 pieces. It features a Swiss automatic movement, surgical grade stainless steel, and an AQI inspired minute track. The brand worked with material science company CarbonCraft to develop the proprietary carbon composite. This release builds on Bangalore Watch Company's history of using unconventional materials like decommissioned military assets and meteorites.
