The Bahamas Aviation, Climate & Severe Weather Network (BACSWN) has introduced a flight path intelligence platform that uses real-time meteorological data and 3D terrain mapping to optimize flight routes. By reducing fuel consumption, the system aims to lower greenhouse gas emissions and generate measurable carbon credits for the aviation sector. Developed in partnership with the Bahamian government and utilizing technology from Raytheon and NOAA, the platform was recently presented to IPCC delegates. It focuses on scalable technology to connect operational efficiency with climate science, particularly for island nations and developing states.
