Axle Energy has raised $25 million in Series A funding to expand its distributed energy platform. The round was led by Energize Capital with participation from Accel, Picus Capital, and Eka Ventures. The company connects batteries, electric vehicles, and heat pumps into the broader energy system to lower costs and reduce emissions. Axle Energy now supports over 300,000 connected devices representing 2 GW of capacity, which the company says is larger than a nuclear power reactor. The funding will support international expansion and further development of infrastructure to coordinate distributed energy resources for grid flexibility and cleaner electricity systems.
