Avnos launches factory-built direct air capture modules for data centers, carbon storage, and eFuels
01net.itAvnos has introduced its first standardized, factory-built direct air capture product line, the Avnos HDAC Module. The modules are built and tested in the factory before shipping, which shortens on-site installation time. Three versions are planned: one that uses data center waste heat for cooling, water, and CO2 removal; one that produces high-purity CO2 for geologic storage; and one that supplies CO2 and water for eFuel production. The first carbon storage units are headed to Project Cedar, a deployment expected to capture 3,000 tonnes of CO2 and produce 6,000 tonnes of clean water per year. Avnos' Project Brighton in New Jersey is already operating. The company says standardized manufacturing should reduce capital costs as more module variants come to market. No specific price per tonne has been disclosed.
