Australia's Nature Repair Market Doubles to Four Projects, Covering 2,656 Hectares
nationaltribune.com.auAustralia's Nature Repair Market has doubled its registered project count to four, covering 2,656 hectares of land. The two new projects, Nortongong Biodiversity Restoration Project and Cooplacurripa Biodiversity Project (Part 2), are both in New South Wales and focus on restoring native woodland, rainforest, and grassy forest ecosystems. The projects are located on land already registered under the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme, so landowners can combine biodiversity restoration with carbon credit income. Activities include planting local species, weed control, and feral pest management. The government says the Enhancing Native Vegetation method, expected later this year, will open more participation in the market.
