Australia's first carbon refinery has opened in New South Wales, capturing carbon dioxide from Orica's ammonia plant on Kooragang Island and converting it into usable products like concrete, paper, and glass. The demonstration plant uses MCI Carbon's Myrtle CCUS technology, developed over 15 years, and can potentially capture 2,500 tonnes of CO2 annually.
