AURA AERO has acquired VoltAero, combining two French companies focused on low-carbon aviation. The deal gives AURA AERO access to VoltAero's hybrid-electric propulsion systems, industrial facilities, and flight data from the Cassio S demonstrator, which has completed 270 flights since 2019. The goal is to accelerate development of market-ready electric and hybrid aircraft for commercial use. The acquisition strengthens France's position in sustainable aviation by merging VoltAero's proven hybrid-electric technology with AURA AERO's industrial capacity. With 2,400 square meters of facilities and extensive flight testing data, the combined entity aims to deliver practical low-carbon aviation solutions that can reduce emissions from regional air travel.
