Atlas Critical Minerals has published a maiden mineral resource estimate for its Malacacheta Graphite Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The estimate, prepared by SGS under SEC rules, includes 17.2 million tonnes indicated at 5.73% graphitic carbon and 7.0 million tonnes inferred at 5.40% Cg, for roughly 1.36 million tonnes of contained graphite. That makes it the largest reported graphite resource in South America and the highest grade among projects reporting under S-K 1300, NI 43-101, or JORC. The project sits on an 11 km graphite corridor, but drilling has only tested about 2.5 km so far. The resource remains open along strike and at depth, with a preliminary economic assessment planned for Q2 2027. Graphite is a critical mineral used in lithium-ion battery anodes and nuclear reactors, and the United States currently has no domestic natural graphite production.
