Atlas Critical Minerals Reports Largest Graphite Resource in South America at Brazil Project
malaymail.comAtlas Critical Minerals (NASDAQ: ATCX) published a maiden mineral resource estimate for its Malacacheta Graphite Project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The deposit holds 17.2 million tonnes indicated at 5.73 percent graphitic carbon and 7.0 million tonnes inferred at 5.40 percent Cg, roughly 1.36 million tonnes of contained graphite. The resource covers only one of three tenements and about 2.5 kilometers of an 11 kilometer corridor, so it remains open along strike and at depth. The company says the indicated grade is about 25 percent higher than Graphite Creek in Alaska, the largest known US graphite deposit. Drill highlights include 43 meters at 6.20 percent Cg and 17 meters at 10.62 percent Cg, with most holes hitting mineralization near surface. Samples have been qualified for EV battery and nuclear reactor use by a US laboratory. Atlas plans more drilling, metallurgical testwork, and a preliminary economic assessment targeted for Q2 2027.
