Japanese sustainability firm ASUENE has acquired UK-based Secaro, a platform that helps manufacturers collect and analyze supply chain carbon data. Secaro works with over 8,000 companies including Toyota, Honda, and GM, covering suppliers in more than 90 countries. The deal is ASUENE's eighth acquisition and follows a business alliance signed in July 2025. The acquisition comes as European and UK regulations on Scope 3 emissions reporting tighten. The EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive already applies to large companies, with further requirements from 2028. UK listed companies may face mandatory ISSB-aligned reporting from 2027. ASUENE says the combination will connect supply chain data across Japan, Asia, the US, and Europe. Secaro was previously known as Manufacture 2030 and serves brands like M&S, Ocado Retail, AstraZeneca, and Honda. ASUENE has grown its customer base to 56,000 over the past year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
