The recognition highlights the hotel's low-carbon strategy, which includes converting its steam boiler from diesel to natural gas, upgrading air handling units, and replacing minibar refrigerators with energy-efficient models. The hotel also reuses treated swimming pool water for toilet flushing and has shifted to reusable glass bottles to cut single-use plastics. The hotel tracks its performance against a carbon emission intensity target using its Environmental Management System and the TT-Green ESG platform. It has also achieved LEED Gold Certification for Operations and Maintenance, becoming the first hotel in Macau to do so. The property's broader sustainability work includes plant-based menus, recycling programs, and staff and community engagement through Earth Hour and tree-planting activities.
