The results were consistent across multiple batches. The company also joined the Advanced Carbons Council, an industry group focused on commercializing advanced carbon materials like graphene and carbon nanotubes. Cement production accounts for roughly 8% of global CO2 emissions. If graphene additives can maintain or improve concrete strength while reducing cement content, the technology could offer both cost savings and emissions reductions. Argo plans to run the industry standard 28 day cure tests next. The company is also pursuing graphene applications in energy storage, electronics, agriculture, and coatings. Membership in the Advanced Carbons Council should help with industry connections and standards work.
