The League of Arab States and the Global Carbon Council will jointly host the Arab Climate Pavilion at COP31 in Antalya, Turkiye, from November 9-20, 2026. The pavilion aims to connect regional priorities with international cooperation on carbon markets, climate finance, and energy transition, building on a 2025 memorandum of understanding between the two organizations. The MoU already identified areas like Article 6 capacity building, renewable energy, and energy efficiency as shared priorities. The pavilion will bring together governments, businesses, and climate practitioners to exchange knowledge and support practical implementation. This is a signal that the region intends to move from ambition to delivery, especially on carbon market mechanisms.
