Anya Resort Tagaytay, a 7.2-hectare luxury wellness estate in Tagaytay City, has started buying geothermal power from First Gen Corp. under a renewable energy supply deal. The resort began drawing electricity from First Gen's Unified Leyte geothermal facilities in late September 2026, and says the switch is meant to lower the carbon footprint of its hotel operations. The agreement, finalized around the resort's ninth anniversary, covers the property's electricity needs while the resort continues other sustainability work tied to environmental stewardship, ethical sourcing, and local community partnerships. First Gen, which operates about 1,700 MW of renewable capacity across geothermal, hydro, solar, and wind, will also support Anya and its parent Roxaco Land on energy efficiency measures. For hotels and resorts looking to cut emissions without changing guest experience, this is another example of a corporate power purchase agreement doing the work.
